Jamey Geston, "the girl with the pink guitar" is an 11- year- old quadruple threat, is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actress who has been on stage she was three years old. Performing most of her life from stage to film and now pursuing another passion... music. Jamey started singing publicly at age four and playing guitar at age eight. She has participated in singing competition at karaoke and performed at farmers markets, festivals, special events and showcases from Santa Barbara to Orange County. With her inspiring performances and expanding audiences, she has begun to perform in bigger venues, with her first major performance at The Avocado Festival 2009 which received great reviews.
In the summer 2009 she got big jump in her music by attending the two-week rock camp, Rockshop Academy. It was hosted and instructed by industry veterans of popular rock groups Diswalla, Sugarcult, Snot, Alistair Green Band, Nerf Herder all from Santa Barbara. Open to young serious musicians from ages 12 - 18, Jamey was accepted at just 10-years-old for her talent and skills as the youngest musician to attend. Going in with strong vocal training and amazing acoustic skills, she made fast transition to electric and bass guitar. They ended their camp session with a live music showcase at Velvet Jones, Santa Barbara's Premier night club.
She has been keeping herself very busy in 2010 with various festivals, lcaols show, showcases and fund-raising events. Most recently she performed three shows at the Santa Barbara Fair and Expo and performed the Sea Festival in Santa Barbara. She was invited to perform on Mother's Day for the Cottage Children's Hospital and Children's Miracle Network Telethon which will broadcast on June 5-6 on KEYT-TV. Jamey hosted and performed for a Big Sunday project "When Life Gives You Lemons Make Lemonade" raising funds for the Harmony Project which provides music for low income children and youth at risk. She co-wrote the song "Bring It Home" for a short film "Green Community" which screened at The Green Shorts Film Festival at The Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival.
Her music genre ranges from Acoustic, Folk, Pop, Rock, Country, to Alternative. She is a cross over between Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles and Colbie Caillat but loves to rock like Hayley Williams from Paramore. Deemed as "the next" Taylor Swift she continues to perform every chance she gets charming her growing audience. Jamey is also a SAG union actress, the niece of Jeff Bridges and an artist endorsement for Daisy Rock Guitars.
