BIOGRAPHY Ten-year-old student Jamey Geston has only really been playing guitar for a little over a year. She juggles her spare time between homework, acting & dance classes, guitar lessons, and frequent drives to LA for auditions. Jamey Geston has performing most of her life from stage to film and now with music. But last December 2008 after performing "The Time of Your Life" by Green Day at her uncle's funeral, Jamey encountered a turning point for herself with her new found passion, music. She spends countless hours playing her guitar. Using the internet as a research tool she surfs for songs she identifies with and then searches lyrics and chords. She will sit at the computer with her guitar and play until she has learned new songs. From there she practices and makes changes along the way to fit her style. Once she learns a new song, she is eager for an audience which is usually mom or dad! But you can occasionally catch her playing at the Carpinteria, Goleta, and Santa Barbara Farmers Market, with her buddy, Blues Jazz performer, Billy Mass who gives her his space and lets her perform. Born October 12, 1998, actress and performer, Jamey Geston has been in front on camera since she was two and a half. She landed her first lead role at the tender age of four and began to be noticed for her natural acting talent in over two dozen student, short and feature films including "Stick It" with Jeff Bridges and Missy Peregrym, "Dead Write" with Rachel Hunter and Tippi Hedren and "Wreck the Halls" with legendary child actor Mickey Rooney. At the age three Jamey begin taking classes at the Colorado Springs Conservatory (CSC) Performing Arts School & successfully completed six total semesters. She excelled in vocal and performances skills and was acknowledged at CSC as a "performance leader" for her commitment in the schools' outreach and performance venues. At just five-years-old, she received the Bee Vranderburg Merit Scholarship in music, where she was the youngest recipient to be given this honor. Jamey works as a representative for "Kids A With Cause" where she donates her time to help others and give back to the community. The members behind Kids With A Cause are young performers in the Entertainment Industry (film, television, stage & music) who recognize, even at young ages, that it is never too early or never too late to give back to the children in their communities and to the children of the world. A former member of the international known "The Children of the World Choir", she has performed for Natalie Cole, Sting, Dustin Hoffman, and Robert Downey Jr. at various Los Angeles venues including the Unicef Snowflake Ball at Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills and House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood CA. Her newest found passion is playing her guitar; she loves to dance and sing but enjoys just being a kid. She is a self-proclaimed vegetarian; Jamey is a published writer and poet; she is a gifted fine artist, with works resembling Chagall and Picasso. She is the niece of actor Jeff Bridges and a union member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
